The "Summer Jazz Night Burghausen" took place on  June 23.  2007. The musical events of "IG Jazz Burghausen" are famous  all over the world  and  for the fact, that you can find a fine selection of international musicians on stage. (www.burghausen.de).

So it was a great honour for the Geoffrey Goodman King Bluesband from Vienna when we were asked to play a concert on the place called "Am Bichl", which is situa-ted in the old part of the city of Burghausen.

At this time the worst case happened: Our keyboarder came into hospital and time was too short to find a substitute. So we chose an excellent guitar player who did his job very well.
Of course we couldn´t play all the songs we usually have on our playlist.
To name only a few titles of the songs:  Darling You Know I Love You, Blue Shadows, Kidney Stew, Every Day I Have The Blues, Little By Little, Bad Case Of Love, Early In The Morning, Catfish Blues, Things Ain´t What They Used To Be, Shake It Up And Go, Help The Poor, Guess Who, Nightlife, The Thrill Is Gone, Make Love To Me, Bluesboy´s Tune, Understand, ..........

After the soundcheck at  6 pm a lot of people wanted us to start the concert immediately, but this started at 7.30 pm.
So we had to  wait for an hour :
GGKing: gtr/voc, Harald  Czaska: gtr, Alfred Bäck: dms,  Peter Wollner: bs, Thomas   Berghammer: tr, Thomas Beck: altsax, Martin  Huber: tensax.

Behind the stage the river "Salzach" was flowing (or was it the Mississippi?) - anyway, we felt the vibrations in the air which came ..... from the river? Or have they been caused from the old houses which surrounded the place or from the old castle, which looked down from the mountain?

I am sure, these things made it all together - with the most important thing:
The audience, the people, who listened to the Blues we played.
Can anybody tell me about a better thing?
